Globalisation of inequality

Review of a talk by P. Sainath....
hmm..... when i came to know that i'm gonna watch a video in hv class i felt excited(though its not a movie :) ) as if i gonna watch some interesting facts around me especially about the inequalities among the people.
The speech is going on about the rapid rise of sensex in five countries(victims of tsunami) after the tsunami disaster.........i was wondering why....and later came to know that sensex is not only a representation of financial status of a country but also the mortality rate.......seems weird .I felt like disgusting after listening to that,as i felt that i'm in a world where money has got its hand over life.
Then the most striking aspect is the water problem(to be frank the inevitable problem).I was totally moved when Sainath sir said that once he had been to Rayalaseema in Andhra pradesh where you could hardly find water resources.when he asked a farmer for a glass of water he was given a glass of water which is almost brownish. He then came to know that the soft drink companies around that area are sucking the water from the earth like leeches......Then he decided to not to take his favorite soft drinks from that day....
And the thing which took me to the peaks of my temper is the story of Nero, who burnt his prisoners for the sake of lighting to a party.
He stressed that about 80000 huts are destroyed in Mumbai which is not even published in newspapers. But if a beautiful man's(celebrity or politician) dog has got ill,it will be the breaking news.
Is this what we call equality......
